The volume Psych Predicates in Romance Languages has been published at Venice University Press!
The book was edited by Niklas Wiskandt, postdoctoral research associate in Kilu von Prince’s research group, in collaboration with Elga Cremades (University of the Balearic Islands, Palma, Spain) and Rolf Kailuweit (HHU, Department of Romance Linguistics). It originates from a field trip to Palma and a workshop in Düsseldorf in 2023. The project was funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
Covering a broad range of psych predicates, the volume contains ten peer-reviewed research chapters on different phenomena (the psych alternation, dative-experiencer verbs, psych nouns, psych light verb constructions) in several Romance languages. Two chapters were written by HHU Master’s students of Linguistics who participated in the field trip and the workshop.
