Pamela Villar González is a lecturer and researcher in the Department of Psycho- and Neurolinguistics at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. Her work to date has covered various fields such as neuroscience (memory, investigation of biomarkers in healthy aging and dementia, sleep), cognitive neuropsychology (brain development), and psycho- and neurolinguistics (lateralization of language in the brain, whistled languages, language in autism). Her research interests focus primarily on language attrition and bilingualism, different types of communication, research methods and techniques, and open science. In addition, she has her own project on science communication via social media (Pamdemia Científica) and collaborates with Brain Awareness Week and Pint of Science, among others. She also works with CERFA (Association of Spanish Scientists in Germany) and The Linguist List.
