Erasmus
As part of the Erasmus program, you can take courses at partner universities for your bachelor's degree in computational linguistics.
The Erasmus program provides financial support for stays at partner universities of the respective institute: As an Erasmus student, you are exempt from tuition, registration, and examination fees at the host university. In addition, you will receive financial support from the International Office at HHU (depending on the partner country).
Information on the courses offered and the crediting of courses at partner universities can be obtained from your contact person in Computational Linguistics Düsseldorf.

Application process
Before applying, you should contact the Erasmus coordinator of your department to discuss important conditions.
Then submit the documents listed below to the Erasmus coordinator.
Once all aspects have been clarified and your application has been accepted, the Erasmus coordinator will nominate you for an Erasmus stay at the partner university and at the International Office of HHU.
You must then submit all required documents to the partner university by the application deadlines listed below. Information on this can be found on the partner university's website.
Once your application has been accepted by the partner university, you are ready to go.
Application documents
Note: The following documents are for the Department of Computational Linguistics, which nominates you for the Erasmus exchange. The application documents for the partner university (documents vary depending on the university) must be submitted after nomination by the deadlines listed below.
After the interview with the Erasmus coordinator, please submit the following documents to them:
- Online application portal: Link
- Letter of motivation
- Curriculum vitae in table form
- Certificate of enrollment
- Transcript of records
- Proposed study plan at the partner university
Applications to the Erasmus coordinator can be submitted by email or in writing by post.
The letter of motivation should clearly state why you are applying for a stay at the partner university, what goals you are pursuing there, and how the stay abroad can be integrated into your studies.
The preliminary transcript of records should show the modules and seminars you have completed so far in your studies and is drawn up in consultation with the Erasmus coordinator. Depending on your progress in your studies and the courses offered at the partner university, you should have successfully completed some modules and seminars in the field of computational linguistics.
In addition, you should draw up a possible study plan with courses that you would like to take at the partner university.
The candidate's grade point average and letter of motivation serve as selection criteria.
