Information Literacy

Contact: Maria Henkel

Information literacy is a key competence of today's society. Searching and finding as well as creating and presenting knowledge is important to be successful in the everyday life, at the workplace, at school and university. Information literacy research can be done in the context of many different areas. Corporate information literacy research is inevitably connected to knowledge management while research in an educational context includes not only the creation and evaluation of information literacy measurement tools but also the observation and optimization of information literacy instruction – not only at companies and libraries, but also at university, in schools and even in kindergarten.
